Preparatory German courses for refugees - especially also for Ukrainians

From July 2022, the University of Leipzig will once again offer German language courses for refugees who want to start studying at the University of Leipzig. The language courses last six months. Participants graduate with the German Language Test for University Admission (DSH).

An application is possible online via the uni-assist portal until 15.05.2022.
In addition to the usual language course, the University of Leipzig will offer German courses at different levels for students from Ukraine at the Studienkolleg Sachsen from May 2022. These courses are intended in particular for students who were already at an advanced stage of their studies and have now had to interrupt them so that they can continue their studies at the University of Leipzig as quickly as possible.
All students affected by the Ukraine war can apply if they meet the following requirements:
The low-threshold application can be submitted until 20 April 2022 at the website of the University of Leipzig
be carried out. As the course progresses, the certificates will be subsequently checked via uni-assist e.V.
The course is expected to start on 9 May 2022. The duration of the course depends on the entry level, but the maximum duration of the course is 15 February 2023. Participants do not receive student status.
