Students who have questions or need advice concerning legal issues may contact the Studentenwerk Leipzig Legal Advice or Legal Assistance offices free of charge and without prior appointment.

Legal Assistance for students is offered on behalf of Studentenwerk Leipzig and provided by Jens Müller Lawyer of the law firm SAMMLER & MÜLLER. If you want to receive legal assistance, presenting your student ID card is mandatory. The consultation is individual, free of charge and financed through semester fees.

if you are already represented by a lawyer, you are not allowed to use the service

For problems arising from their particular circumstances, students can seek brief legal information directly from the Studentenwerk. Detailed legal advice is not provided. Furthermore, no information is provided on tax, university, examination or residence law issues or on questions relating to the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG).

Information is only provided by telephone or e-mail. Consultation hours or on-site appointments are not available.
