As a solidarity contribution to finance the service offers for students by Studentenwerk Leipzig, every student pays a semester fee to the Studentenwerk. The amount and use are stated in the regulations on the semester fee.
From the summer semester 2023 onwards, the new fee regulations of 03 August 2022 shall apply.
From the summer semester 2024 onwards, the new fee regulations of 13 December 2023 shall apply.
Please note: The amount of the semester fee varies for each university. The amount includes in addition to the semester fee for Studentenwerk Leipzig (this is equal for all students) amounts for the MDV ticket, for the students councils, and possible deposits for the student ID. The total amount is announced by each institution.
