Studierenden Service Zentrum

The Studierenden Service Zentrum (SSZ) is the central service facility of Leipzig University and Studentenwerk Leipzig.

At the Studentenwerk counter at the Studierenden Service Zentrum (SSZ), you can get information on all our fields of work, services, and offers. Here we:

• accept applications for Cultural Funding
• issue, take back, and extend Mensa cards

Additionally, short Social Counselling sessions can be accessed directly at SSZ.

Info on Mensa Card Service

Studentenwerk offers the Mensa Card Service in Goethestraße 3-5 only without cash transactions. Please use our online tool SSZ to agree the necessary appointment for this service.

Cash payments of Mensa credit, clearing of arrears and returning old Mensa cards with deposit (6.00 €) take place only at the Mensa am Elsterbecken in foyer room 004, Marschnerstr. 29C. Please use our online tool MaE to agree the necessary appointment for this service.  

Validity extensions of Mensa Cards can be carried out directly at the cash desks of the student restaurants and cafeterias upon presentation of a valid proof (student ID, employee ID) Exception: Mensa am Park, here extensions can only be carried out at the Cafeteria cash desk.
