German-French Photo Contest Launched

The German-French Photo Contest is entering a new round, and students from all disciplines in Germany and France can participate. This year, the theme of the competition is “Mein Raum” (my space). The first-place winner will receive 1.000 Euros, the second-place winner 750 Euros. The third place is the German-French Friendship Prize, endowed with 500 Euros. Registration is now possible on the website www.concours-wettbewerb.eu. There you can find the complete announcement, evaluation criteria, and detailed participation conditions.

Until 12 May 2024, students have the opportunity to submit their works to the German-French Photo Contest. The winners will be announced in June. Subsequently, there will be a traveling and digital exhibition featuring the best photos of the competition, presented in the student service organizations and student unions in Germany and the Crous in France, the umbrella organization of the French student service organizations. Last year, Yuliia Pozniak, a student from Leipzig, took second place in the competition with her photo ‘Dancing Woman.’ The award-winning photos can be viewed online in a gallery.

The German-French Photo Contest is organized by the German National Association for Student Affairs (Deutsches Studierendenwerk) in cooperation with its French partner, the ‘Centre des Oeuvres universitaires et scolaires’ (Cnous), and financially supported by the German-French Youth Office. The project aims to highlight the idea of German-French friendship.
