Clear the stage for culture
Do you need a stage for a student cultural project? No problem, we’ve got something for you!
Studentenwerk Leipzig provides a stage that is financed by Cultural Funding and can be loaned free of charge to student groups or for student events. A form must be completed by a student for the loan.
The form should be submitted to the Culture Committee at least four weeks before the planned date of the event. The application can be sent by e-mail to kultur@studentenwerk-leipzig.de.
Info about the stage
- The stage consists of 20 individual platforms, each measuring 2×1 metres.
- Matching feet and connectors are included.
- The stage platforms can be connected together in any number and can be set up without a border.
- The height of the stage is 40 cm.
The procedure
- Send the completed stage application as a PDF by e-mail.
- The application will be discussed at the next meeting of the Culture Committee and is likely to be approved (in exceptional cases, in the event of scheduling difficulties, it may be approved in advance).
- The applicant will receive an official notification and the stage loan form by post.
- The stage is stored in the Nürnberger Straße hall of residence; a collection date must be arranged by telephone with the caretaker (at least 3 working days before the collection date).
- The stage must be collected from the hall of residence using the loan form and transported to the event location (and back to the hall of residence).
- If the event takes place on a Friday/Saturday, the stage can also be stored securely locked and weatherproof over the weekend and returned the following Monday.
