We are competent

As a competent partner, our aim is to provide Leipzig students with the best possible support in their everyday lives and thus contribute to their academic success.

To achieve this, we have both the necessary specialist knowledge and a high degree of social competence.

As an organisation, we take a reflective approach to mistakes and also see competence as a lifelong learning process. This enables us to respond successfully to new challenges on an ongoing basis.

We act according to need

Our services are geared towards the needs of Leipzig’s students.

To this end, we regularly review the effectiveness of our services and adapt them to current requirements and developments.

The resources available to us are limited and should therefore be used where there is the greatest need.

We communicate our decisions transparently both internally and externally so that they are comprehensible.

We work reliably

Reliability is the standard we set ourselves, with which we fulfil our tasks consistently and with consistent quality.

Punctuality and diligence form the basis of our work and ensure trust on the part of students, our colleagues and partners. Reliability on the outside is the result of reliability on the inside.

The work of our colleagues is characterised by mutual understanding and keeping promises. Supervisors provide support and thus ensure that we can always fulfil our tasks reliably.

We are service-orientated

Our work is based on a respectful and attentive approach both internally and externally. We think ahead and regularly put ourselves in the shoes of our students, colleagues and partners. This enables us to recognise their needs at an early stage and fulfil them within the given framework conditions.

Challenges spur us on. Even with complex or difficult issues, we remain professional and find solutions.

If something cannot be realised, we remain constructive. We explain the background in a comprehensible way and point out alternative paths. Our aim is to find the best possible solution together.

We work economically

We provide our services on the basis of state funding and students’ semester fees at socially acceptable prices or free of charge. We use the funds entrusted to us efficiently and responsibly. We pay particular attention to the careful use of student and tax money. In this way, we maximise the use of our limited resources while providing affordable services for students.

With a good balance between economic efficiency and social responsibility, we provide Leipzig’s students with long-term and continuous support.

We live appreciation in all our interactions. Our culture is characterised by respect, courtesy and openness towards students, colleagues and partners.
