Workshop: fourth annual Long Night of Academic Writing

Lange Nacht des wissenschaftlichen

On the occaison of the fourth annual Long Night of Academic Writing our Psychosocial Counsellors are again offering a workshop.

According to the motto "Better together", the Long Night of Academic Writing (LNWS) will take place for the fourth time on 20 February 2020. The event offers support for the writing of scientific texts, problems with Citavi, finding the right citation method or questions about literature research.

Again, exciting lectures and workshops will be offered, one of them by our Psychosocial Counselling service. The topic will be: "The inner tug-of-war before and during writing – reflections on (contradictory) inner parts". In this workshop we will first identify different inner parts and reflect on their functions, especially in regard to the writing process. Furthermore we will try to determine how to work with these parts so that the helpful parts will gain the upper hand in the end and blockades like self-doubt or motivation problems before and during writing are overcome. The workshop starts at 7.30 p.m. and lasts about one hour. Before that, from 7.00 p.m. till the start of the workshop and directly after there will be a relaxation unit.

The LNDSW will take place on 20 February 2020, from 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. at the Bibliotheca Albertina and is an event organised by the Academic Lab | Wissenschaftslabor and the Library of the University of Leipzig.
