What kind of support do people who have fled Syria need? // Wanted are refugees who would like to speak about their experiences.

As part of a research project, University of Leipzig’s Faculty of Medicine is going to codevelop an app that will help traumatized people who have fled Syria.

War and escape can have considerable effects on people. Sometimes symptoms such headaches, nightmares or great stresses appear only after the escape due to remembering terrible experiences. The goal of the research project is to reduce psychological burdens on those affected. The “Sanadak” app was developed to put across knowledge and practical techniques for dealing with these burdens. The app is to be optimized ideally to the needs of those affected. In order to better understand how refugees feel and what kind of support they would wish for, people who would like to talk about this topic are wanted.
