The Deutschland-Semesterticket will be continued from the winter semester 2024/25 onwards

Due to the high approval of the student bodies of all Leipzig universities, the Studentenwerk Leipzig has decided to continue the Deutschland-Semesterticket unchanged for the winter semester 2024/25. Thus, the ticket price – as currently in the summer semester – remains at 176.40 Euros for the entire semester. The contribution to the Semester Ticket is paid at the enrolment or re-enrolment at the university and is included in the Semester Fee. With the Deutschland-Semesterticket, students can use public transportation nationwide within the covered region of the Deutschlandticket.

The survey conducted among Leipzig students regarding the Semester Ticket, with 5,207 participants, showed a strong preference for the continuation of the Deutschland-Semesterticket: 96% of respondents were in favor of an extension.
