Preparatory German Language Course for Refugees at University Leipzig from Summer Semester 2021

Refugees who wish to study at Leipzig University can learn German for free beforehand. You can apply until 31 January 2021.

The International Center (AAA) of the University of Leipzig will again offer German courses for refugees who want to start studying at Leipzig University from April 2021. The language courses will last six to nine months. Participants conclude with the German language examination for university admission (DSH).

Prerequisites for participation:

  • School qualification or university degree recognised in Germany which entitles the holder to study at our university (direct higher education entrance qualification)
  • Proven knowledge of German at B1 level or at least 500 hours of German lessons
  • Refugee status
  • Indication of the desired study programme at Leipzig University
