New Year, new photo exhibition: “Colours of the UK”

Until the end of February 2026, the new photo exhibition “Colours of the UK” features works by Joel Correia, a law student at the University of Leipzig. During an extended stay in England, he developed a special connection to the country – especially to its colors.

Photography has been a part of Joel Correia’s life since early childhood and has now become a creative counterbalance to his studies. His images invite viewers to discover the UK from a vibrant, personal perspective and to see the diversity of everyday life in a new light.

You can visit the exhibition until the end of March 2026 in the corridors on the first and second floors of Studentenwerk Leipzig (Goethestraße 6).

Fancy your own photo exhibition?

Students who would like to present their photographs in an exhibition can apply to Studentenwerk Leipzig. The theme can be freely chosen. 24 frames of 59.4 x 84 cm can be used. The exhibition spaces are located in the corridors on the first and second floors of Goethestraße 6, and the photographs are usually shown for two months.

The exhibitions are funded by the Studentenwerk Leipzig’s Cultural Funding.

It is important that the student photographers are enrolled at one of the universities in the Studentenwerk Leipzig’s area of responsibility during the exhibition period.
