New Photography Exhibition at Studentenwerk Leipzig
The photographer and student at Leipzig University, Marian Hummel, split his exhibition in two parts: In the first part, his photographs show impressions of the past years in black and white, taken at different places. In the second part, Hummel invites the viewer on a journey to the country Georgia where he depicts a mood between standstill and departure that he sensed there.
It is the photographer’s style that connects both parts of the exhibition. There are no touristic features, but the everyday life as seen from Hummels perspective. “The exhibited photos contain a tranquillity that expresses a kind of borderline to the hectic pace of everyday life,” says Hummel.
The photographs are displayed in January and February at Studentenwerk Leipzig on the first and second floor of the SSZ, Goethestraße 6. More of Hummel's works:
