New Chair of the Semester Ticket Committee

Franz Hempel is now the new chairman of the semester ticket committee.

Franz Hempel, head of the Sustainable Mobility Unit at StuRa (University of Leipzig), was voted the new chairman of the semester ticket committee. The semester ticket committee is appointed by the administrative board of Studentenwerk Leipzig and decides among other things on the granting of funds of the mobility fund. The committee advises the administrative board on matters of the semester ticket as well.

Hempel studies Economics. His deputy, Christoph Mengs, was also confirmed in his position at the latest board meeting. Further information on the responsibilities and work of the semester ticket committee can be found on our mobility pages.
