It’s that time again: our popular Christmas Week is starting! From 8 to 12 December, we invite you to get into the holiday spirit with our festive dishes.
Delicious menus await you in all Mensas, for example:
Monday
- Burger with Planted Steak, mulled wine red cabbage, chestnut cream, and fries (new recipe!) at Mensa Peterssteinweg
- Baked plaice fillet with roasted onion butter, winter root vegetables, and herb rice at Mensa am Park
- Mulled wine goulash, green bean vegetables, and Bohemian dumplings at Mensa am Elsterbecken
Tuesday
- Homemade Brussels sprouts and buckwheat patty with chestnut béchamel and potato rostis (new recipe!) at Mensa am Medizincampus
- Smoked tofu goulash with cranberries, apple red cabbage, and croquettes at Mensa am Elsterbecken
- Baked corn-fed chicken leg with potato gratin and glazed sage carrots at Mensa Peterssteinweg
Wednesday
- Roasted duck leg with gingerbread-orange-honey jus at Mensa am Park, Mensa Schönauer Straße, and Mensa an den Tierkliniken
- Lentil Wellington on a colorful winter salad with cranberry-apple chutney (new recipe!) at Mensaria am Botanischen Garten
- Roasted venison with mandarin-orange savoy cabbage and egg spaetzle at Mensa Academica
Thursday
- Regional venison goulash with apple red cabbage and dumplings in all Mensas (Regio-Teller!)
Friday
- Advent pancakes with raisins and almonds at Mensa am Medizincampus
- Rabbit leg in rosemary cream with Brussels sprouts and herb potatoes at Mensa Academica
- Gönnathaler wild sausage with mixed mushrooms and onion mashed potatoes at Mensa am Elsterbecken
Festive Regio-Teller on Thursday: Enjoy sustainably!
On Thursday, 11 December, our Regio-Teller takes center stage. This highlight is available in all Mensas, from small to large portions! What makes it special: the ingredients come from regional producers, ensuring freshness and short transport routes.
Here’s what to expect on the Regio-Teller:
