Cafeteria Upgraded to Mensa

Studentenwerk Leipzig invests 150,000 EUR in the modernisation of the dining area at Berufsakademie Leipzig.

Cafeteria Schönauer Straße was converted to a Mensa. Since it has been in use for a long time, the kitchen equipment in the Cafeteria became worn out and needed to be replaced. Beyond that, Studentenwerk Leipzig converted and improved the entire dining facility this year and due maintenance procedures were executed. The old kitchen appliances were replaced with modern kitchen equipment and there is no longer a need to serve lunch which has been prepared at another facility, because the opportunity for preparing meals freshly at that Mensa is now provided.

The new Mensa has a capacity of 76 seats inside and 50 seats outside the facility. It will serve students of Berufsakademie Sachsen (staatliche Studienakademie Leipzig) with reasonably priced, healthy and tasty food. The opening hours are: Mon – Fri, 8.30 a.m. – 3.45 p.m.
