7 December is Veggie-Day at Mensa am Park
During Christmas time we feast a lot, we eat a lot of solid food, a lot of meat and we grant ourselves a lot of fat on our plates. A healthy alternative is our upcoming Veggie-Day on 7 December at student restaurant Mensa am Park. On this day, we have vegan and vegetarian meals exclusively on our menu. Among other meals, we offer e.g. chard and tomato vegetables with soy sauce, pumpkin ravioli with spinach and cheese filling in sage butter and a sweet and sour curry vegetable dish with cashew nuts and rice. All meals can be found on our menu website. Our student restaurant Mensa am Park has just recently been awarded by PETA for its vegan-friendly offer.
Veggie-Days take place since 2010 and were introduced through a student initiative. They are not only our contribution to sustainability, but also an offer to students who would like to eat vegetarian from time to time to abstain from meat consumption or have a vegetarian diet anyway. For those who do not want to eat meatless: A Veggie-Day takes place in only one student restaurant at a time. If you do not want to eat vegan or vegetarian, just switch to another student restaurant on that day. Enjoy your meal, everyone!
