Kindergarten "Am Gutenbergplatz" – Studentenwerk Leipzig

Studentenwerk Leipzig had another day-care center built at Gutenbergplatz close to the campus Augustusplatz in the city center. It is part of the Center for Social Services of Studentenwerk Leipzig. The facility is run by Fröbel Bildung und Erziehung gGmbH – like the integrative nursery school EinSteinchen. They offer places for 45 children in the day nursery for children starting from the age of 6 months and 90 places for children aged between 3 and 6 years in the kindergarten section.

The open concept offers children the possibility of promoting their self-determination and creativity in rooms of experience, like e.g. an artist’s workshop, a wood shop or a construction room. One key aspect is the musical-creative offers supported by the nearby Grassi Museum.

Furthermore, English language training is provided. An extensive outdoor play area with a large terrace, herb garden, garden beds, and many playground items enables the children to play freely outdoors and close to nature. Lunch is in organic quality.
