Registration for the 2025 photo competition is open. We are looking for impressive images on the theme of ‘Peace’. On the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the question arises: Is peace a goal or a path? Whether in social interaction, in digital space or in everyday life – students are invited to capture their views in photographs.
Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded for the best entries:
- First prize: 1.000 Euros
- Second prize: 750 Euros
- „Deutsch-Französischer Freundschaftspreis“ for a special commitment to Franco-German friendship: 500 Euros
Important dates
- Closing date for entries: 12 May 2025
- Jury decision: end of June 2025
- Award ceremony: propably in June at the Crous de Lyon, winners will be invited to the award ceremony
- Touring exhibition: 2025/2026 in the locations of the German Studentenwerke and in the Crous in France
Conditions of participation
The competition is open to all students of legal age who are enrolled at a German or French university. Digital black and white and colour photos in JPG format with a minimum resolution of 2362 x 3544 pixels are permitted. The quality must be suitable for printing in 30 x 40 cm format. Only one photo per participant may be submitted. AI-generated photos are excluded.
