In 2021, the Studentenwerk Leipzig introduced a reusable system. Since then, taking away food and drinks has become more packaging-free and environmentally friendly.
Over 14,000 times, our guests have already decided in favour of the reusable container and thus against disposables. Whether it's lunch or a hot drink – we are happy about every single loan! This helps to reduce packaging waste.
The introduction of environmentally friendly reusable tableware from the partner Relevo started in the Mensa and Cafeteria am Park in autumn 2021. A lot has happened since then. We have gradually established the reusable system in five other Mensas and the associated Cafeterias.
We would like to thank all students who want or need to eat outside the Mensa, for using the reusable system.
