100 Year Anniversary: 10,000 Euros for a Cultural Relaunch

For its 100th birthday, the Studentenwerk Leipzig has introduced a programme to support a restart for student culture after the Corona lockdown. A total of 10,000 euros will be awarded to different cultural projects by students.

The Studentenwerk Leipzig supports student culture. In recent months, this has been possible only to a very limited extent. Now, after the end of the Corona inflicted lockdown, a new start needs to be made! On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Studentenwerk, we are therefore launching a programme to support a restart for student culture after the Corona lockdown.

"10,000 euros for a restart in culture" will begin on 1 June 2021. For exactly four weeks, until 30 June 2021, project ideas can be submitted informally to the cultural committee of the Studentenwerk. In the end, 10,000 euros in can be awarded to Leipzig students who want to use their creativity and realize their cultural projects together. The amount of support for an individual project is limited to a maximum of 1,000 euros.

Supporting the diverse and lively student culture in Leipzig is an essential part of the Studentenwerk Leipzig's cultural funding. The restart campaign is therefore intended to provide impulses for a fresh start for cultural events and aims to enable Leipzig students realize their cultural projects supported in a straightforward and particularly low-threshold approach.
