Student halls of residence belonging to the Studentenwerk

The Studentenwerk Leipzig runs 42 apartment buildings in 14 housing areas and rents approximately 5.200 rooms either in flat shares or as single apartments. All of the halls of residence have been renovated since 1991 and are equipped with modern facilities.
14 per cent of students in Leipzig live in halls of residence owned by the Studentenwerk, with approximately 30 per cent of them coming from abroad.
Most rents range between 170 and 375 euros - depending on the type of accommodation, room amenities and the location of the halls. Rent includes furniture, internet, television, all running costs (including electricity) and much more.
