Student hall of residence under renovation

From October: First occupancy after renovation at Straße des 18. Oktober 25

At present, shared apartments for two or three people at the student hall of residence at Straße des 18. Oktober 25 are being renovated, furthermore apartments with en suite kitchen and en suite bathroom. Renovation and modernization measures, for which the building had to be vacated, will take until September.

Studentenwerk Leipzig spends about 4 million Euro for this procedure. As of winter semester 2017, approximately 200 student can occupy the hall again.

The student hall of residence at Straße des 18. Oktober 23-33 is our largest residential complex. It is located within walking distance to the city center. Besides the student pub Schwemme, party and fitness rooms, the residential complex also houses the tutors’ office and the Café der fünf Kontinente.
