Due to current issues with the University of Leipzig’s websites, the UniCard validators are also not working at the moment. This means it is currently not possible to validate Mensa Cards, which enable students to visit the Mensas and Cafeterias and pay with their UniCard.
The Studentenwerk has therefore put in place a temporary solution for all students who still wish to have their Mensa Cards validated. To do so, please
- visit the Student Service Centre during opening hours or
- book an appointment in advance with the Mensa Card Servicev at the Mensa am Elsterbecken.
Please bring with you:
- Your UniCard and
- proof of payment of the current semester fee (bank transfer receipt for the semester fee or certificate of enrolment)
The Mensa Card will be validated until 10 November 2026 for the time being, provided that current student status can be verified. As soon as the validators are back in operation, UniCards must once again be validated as usual at the relevant locations.
