The Radgeber bicycle self-repair workshop has opened a dedicated workshop space for FLINTA* students. The space provides a safe and welcoming environment where participants can carry out bicycle repairs and maintenance independently while expanding their practical cycling skills.
The workshop is equipped with four fully equipped workstations, two workbenches, and a wheel truing stand. A FLINTA* staff member is available on site to provide guidance based on the principle of helping people help themselves. Visitors can also play their own music via Bluetooth. The space accommodates up to eight people.
Repairs that can be carried out include inner tube and tire replacement, wheel truing, wheel building, drivetrain replacement, and hub maintenance. For safety and capacity reasons, work on e-bikes, hydraulic brakes, welding, and any work involving open flames is not permitted.
The workshop is intended to evolve together with its users. Ideas for the space, requests for additional tools, and support with further developing the workshop are all very welcome. The room can also be used for FLINTA*-only events by prior arrangement.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and by appointment.
