The so-called „Max-Kade-Haus“, just like its neighbor, the student hall of residence of „Mainzer Straße“, is located only a few steps away from Jahnallee campus and Clara Zetkin Park. It offers housing for a total of 198 residents, either in shared flats for two or four people or in single rooms. In this hall of residence, there are also a few unfurnished rooms available.

Max Kade was born on October 13th 1882 in Germany and emigrated to America in 1904.
Together with his wife Anette he established the Max Kade Foundation in 1944. Using the motto "in the service of mankind", this foundation was committed to the democratic reconstruction of Germany after World War II und supported the academic youth by building libraries, canteens and halls of residence.
