Due to the differing study periods at each of the institutes of higher education, there are - particularly in the summer months - unoccupied rooms available which can be rented temporarily by students from elsewhere in Germany and abroad, but also by, for example, people on work placements and university staff. It is certainly worth enquiring.

We do not offer hotel rooms, but rather furnished rooms in a flat share - comprising two to six rooms. A kitchen and bathroom are available for use by all residents of the flat share.

All rooms are furnished. Bedding/linen, curtains, crockery and pots and pans are not included in the basic equipment. Bedding and linen can however be hired additionally for an additional fee.

When you submit your request, we need the following information from you:

• surname, first name
• date of birth
• address
• desired duration of stay
• desired extras (bedding/linen)
• copy of your student card

The easiest way is to submit your application with the aforementioned information via email (with student card as a PDF attachment). You will then receive an offer as soon as possible. However, we cannot guarantee you will receive a room!

Rental prices:

Please note that you must stay for at least 3 nights.

€ 15 per night (max. monthly rent); from 10 nights the full month's rent is due

€ 8.50 per month for bedding/linen (optional extras)

VAT: For non-students (students of technical colleges, "A-level" students and graduates, trainees, university staff) there is an additional VAT charge of 7 per cent on top of the prices mentioned.

Deposit: A deposit of € 250 is required for any room rented for more than 3 months. Damages and lost keys will be invoiced separately.

Payment: Rent is to be paid no later than when the contract is signed (cash, bank transfer, debit card).

Once the rental agreement is in place you can obtain your key from the facility manager (Hausmeister) at the following times:

Mondays to Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Please note that you will not be able to obtain your key on weekends or public holidays!
